Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 15, 2026

This policy explains what information Media trk (“the app”) handles and how it is used. Media trk does not require an account, and I do not run any servers that store your personal information.

Information stored by the app

The shows you add, the episodes you mark as watched and your settings are stored on your device. If iCloud sync is turned on, this data is also stored in your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit so it can sync between your devices. That data is protected by Apple, is not accessible to me, and is governed by Apple's privacy policy. You can turn iCloud sync off in the app's Settings.

Show data from TVMaze

To search for shows and load schedules, the app sends requests to the TVMaze API. These requests contain the search text you type or the show being loaded, and, like any internet request, your IP address is visible to TVMaze. See TVMaze's own privacy policy for how they handle requests.

Notifications

Episode reminders and the badge count are scheduled locally on your device. They do not involve a push-notification server and nothing about them is sent to me.

Advertising

The app shows ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, coarse location derived from your IP address, and information about your interactions with ads, in order to deliver ads, measure performance and prevent fraud.

• Where required, the app asks for your consent using Google's User Messaging Platform before ads that use personal data are shown. You can change your choice later where the app offers that option.
• On iOS, the app asks permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before accessing your advertising identifier. If you decline, ads are still shown but are not personalized using that identifier. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Analytics and crash reporting

The app uses Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics) to understand how the app is used and to find and fix crashes and errors. This may include crash logs, performance data, device information (such as model and operating system version), and an app-instance identifier. This information is not used to identify you personally.

Tips

If you choose to leave a tip, the purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. I do not receive your payment information.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices and rights

• Turn off iCloud sync in the app's Settings.
• Allow or deny tracking in your device's Settings, and change your ad consent choices where the app offers them.
• Delete the app to remove locally stored data. To remove data stored in iCloud, use Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage on your device.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
